Our VOLT Local program provides the opportunity for players to join club volleyball, compete in tournaments locally, and focus on building skills in a fun, competitive environment, without the significant travel requirement or investment. 

Local teams will have (5) single-day tournaments and travel no more than 90 minutes around the Fargo/Moorhead area based on the players team tournament schedule. Participants playing on a Local team will be exposed to local competition. Players will make a team according to their caliber. Athletes are placed on teams with those of an equal playing ability, ensuring all have an opportunity to develop their skills. Tournaments are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays (NO weekday tournaments available).

Program Overview:

• VOLT will create local teams across all youth age categories: 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U - 18U
• Rostered spot not guaranteed for 15U-18U
• The local season will run mid-February to early May pending the teams tournament schedule 
• Practice locations include the Rustad Recreation Center, Fargo Parks Sports Complex, and/or West Fargo Public School gyms
• Local teams are scheduled for 16-20 practices throughout the season
• Teams typically practice 2x per week with a practice length of 1.5-2 hours 
• Teams will compete in (5) tournaments throughout the season
• Team rosters are planned for 10-12 players per team
• All teams will have a certified VOLT Head Coach.  Coaches within the Local program have 3+ years of volleyball experience, played high school volleyball, or have held coaching positions.  Coaches are required to hold Impact Certification, possess USAV Volleyball SafeSport Certification, maintain USAV / NCA Regional Memberships with a  clean background

Local teams are planned by caliber across all age 11-18U categories:

• Highest caliber local team: VOLT POWER
• The following teams are tiered however do compete and can be equal in caliber based on player commitment and team connection: VOLT CHARGE, VOLT FORCE, VOLT THUNDER, VOLT ELECTRIC, VOLT SURGE

 Each team will compete in (5) weekend tournaments throughout the club volleyball season.  The 2026 tournament schedule is posted below by team.  The tournament schedule will also be posted in each team's SportsEngine calendar as we near the local season start date.
