Our VOLT Local program provides the opportunity to play, compete, and focus on building skills. Local teams will have one-day tournaments and travel approximately 90 minutes around the Fargo/Moorhead area. The program allows for kids to focus on their skills and be part of a team. Participants playing on a Local team will be exposed to local competition, competing in single day tournaments. No one is turned away and all players will make a team according to their caliber. Athletes are placed on teams with those of an equal playing ability, ensuring all have an opportunity to develop their skills.

• 5 – single day tournaments are planned for local teams

• Local teams are planned for approximately 20 practices which normally is 2 practices per week and each practice is scheduled for 2 hours

• Tournament locations will be Fargo-Moorhead with possibly one or two tournaments within 90 min. radius of Fargo-Moorhead

• Teams are approximately 9-10 players.  However, we will make a team with 8-12 players if needed to accommodate program participation numbers

• Local teams will begin practice early February and conclude their season in early May

• Typical tournament day:  7:30AM – 5:00PM  (player is not allowed to leave during the day)

• Tournaments are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays (NO weekday tournaments available)

• Flexibility to be in multiple activities allowing the player to attend/skip practices due to other activities. (If a player is in a school sport, they MUST attend the school sport before VOLT Volleyball). 

• Fundraising is required.  VOLT does not require athletes or parents to fulfill DIB hours.
