VOLT Tournament Information

VOLT TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Schedules will be posted here when they become available.  It is very likely that schedules will not be released until Wednesday prior to the weekend you play.  

Some basic details:

  • Coaches will communicate any "specific" details.
  • Tournament schedules will not normally be updated during the working day.  Updates will happen in the evening, so it is possible that you may find the schedule has been released if an online platform is being used before we update our web page.
  • Arrive about 45-60 minutes before you play.
  • Multi-day tournaments will have an AM wave or a PM wave for day 1.
  • Local tournaments will start at 8:00 a.m.
  • Make sure your daughter has a healthy breakfast.  Do not let her enter a tournament drinking a "coffee" like beverage.
  • Pack healthy food choices (snacks, crackers, meat, cheese, fruit, beverages)
  • Parents - be supportive, positive and enjoy watching your daughter play.

Tourney Information

Team Check In/Coach Meeting

There will be a coach meeting on court 1 of your location at 7:40am. This will also be considered team check in.

Warm up balls will not be provided. Please bring your own.

Tournament Format:

POOL PLAY:

Warm up will be 10 (2/4/4) minutes. There will be no switching sides.

4 Team Pools: Pool play will start at 8:00am. Pool play will be 2 sets to 25 (cap of 27).

3 Team Pools: Pool play will start at 8:00am. Pool play will be ALL 3 sets to 25 (cap of 27).

*3 Team Pools will also have a crossover match before bracket play. Please check AES for updates once your team has completed their pool play matches.

BRACKET PLAY:

Warm up will be 5 (1/2/2) minutes. There will be no switching sides.

Best 2/3, third set to 15, no cap in any set. Bracket play will begin when pool play is completed.

Bracket play will be seeded off of Set win/loss percentage, point percentage, coin toss.

11/12U: 4 team Gold, 4 team Silver, 4 team Bronze Brackets

13/14U: 8 Team Gold, 8 Team Silver, 4 Team Bronze Brackets

15/16U: 8 Team Gold, 8 Team Silver, 4 team Bronze Brackets

17/18U: 4 team Gold, 4 team Silver, 4 team Bronze Brackets

Medals will be awarded to First place and Runner Up for Gold divisions and first place for Silver/Bronze divisions.

Work teams:

You will need to provide R1, R2, 2 line judges, score board, score sheet and libero tracker while working. A coach will need to be either R1 or R2 for all matches. Please make sure to check in with AES and site director before leaving to ensure that you are not required to stay and ref once your play is complete.

Venue Information

Doors will open at 7:30am for athletes/spectators

Age 10-17 - $8

9 and under – Free

All sites will be Hudl Tickets and EXACT CASH ONLY. There is not an ATM on site. Please make sure to relay this to your families.

Rustad Recreation Center will have multiple vendors for concessions and a clothing vendor. There are bleachers, but it is suggested that spectators bring their own chairs.

Liberty Middle School will NOT have concessions, but there will be a food truck available in the parking lot.  Some bleacher seating is provided. A clothing vendor will be available Saturday only.

Please make sure to clean up your team camp area once the tournament is complete. Please utilize the track at Rustad Rec Center and the cafeteria at Liberty for your team camp.
